elaine hello yall! i am very pleased to tell you that i started at 184, and stopped at 158, because NO MATTER what i did, i could not lose any more weight. i finally realized my body wanted to stop...and stop i did. it has been about 2 months, and i havent gained any weight back at all, my body is very happy where it is, for some reason. i am wearing a size 8, started off as a 14. i am taking some time off from the releana, and when it cools off here in the desert, ill try it again and get those last 20 lbs off. in the meantime, i am following no protocol whatsoever, and regardless of what i eat, i have not gained any weight. the claims that releana resets the hypothalamus appear to be accurate in my opinion. elaine well, i have had one hard row to hoe, and had to get off the releana for over a week, because i couldnt take sleeping around the clock and having absolutely no energy, adjusting some medications and the depression. my first month on releana was a dream. the 2nd bottle i had, in my humble, was defective. however, i am getting a new bottle monday and we will see. in the meantime, ive been doing the releana form of p3. i do not have to load again for the 2nd round, but i am going to a little bit. i started at 184, im down to 158, headed for 145 and maybe more. P2 sucks, but it is easier for me to know what i can and cant have. the chicken breasts are thawing...im feeling SO much better, so im looking forward to it! Apr 24

i also wonder this...if turkey wasnt considered a "normal" food back then, for sure people have been eating duck and goose for a long time, and they are both very high in fat. so when dr says... (paraphrasing) "a breast of chicken does not mean the breast of any other fowl" it may well be that they didnt check turkey as it wasnt readily available, but duck and goose would def be out.
another thot is that while chickens have been common farm animals for a long time, and readily available and relatively cheap, perhaps turkey wasnt then.
finally, current commercial farm practices have bred turkeys with such large breasts that they cannot walk, they are deformed. i wouldnt buy a commercially produced turkey breast anyway, but i am very lucky to have fresh organic chickens...RIGHT NEXT DOOR!
i just wish i could have a damned EGG!

good lord, that gum tastes so terrible, i cant imagine anyone would want to use it if they werent trying to break the smoking habit. i can chew it for about 30 seconds, and my mouth feels horrible, i get nauseous and nervous. YUCK. but i myself know people who chew it like crazy. even after 30 seconds, i feel the same as if i smoked 10 smokes in a row. id rather take tenuate for appetite suppression. i get a teeny bit jittery on it, but at least im not sick-feeling.

heya, i had a bad few days with a health issue, and it really set me back. im on board again now. i stayed on releana the whole time altho i gained 10 lbs. took me a while to get back to square 1 here! but this am i was back down to the weight i was at when i got married in 2004. that was heartening! keep us posted on the results of switching to subq are!

i quit smoking before this diet, but it was just due to the fact that i dont smoke unless i drink alcohol, and i havent been drinking while on releana, obviously. however, once i was on releana, i did crave nicotine once in a while, with my various hot teas and coffee, and now, you guessed it...i smoke nearly every day, at least just a few, as it is a substitute for other oral pleasures, like cheese and things i cant have.

i think it kills my appetite, for sure. i cannot say if i lose more or less while smoking or not.

but i am like sommer and nutshell, one thing at a time! i have a history of black and white thinking, like: today i will have no caffeine, alcohol or nicotine and will run 3 miles. lol. thats a recipe for disaster.

by the way, i tried chantix about a year ago. it wiped out any desire for smoking, along with drinking and eating. it made me so nauseous, it was like morning sickness all day. its like it killed all pleasure-based neurotransmitters. but it sure did work! i did not want to smoke at all. the problem was never quitting. the problem for me was STAYING quit when i had a glass of wine in my hand. the solution is obvious of course.

elaine hi folks, im back after an "illness". apparently i had lost enough weight that my high-blood pressure meds were no longer needed. but i didnt know that, cos i have always had high blood pressure! i ended up gaining 10 lbs and was pretty much bedridden, with dizziness, nausea, and my arms got tired even washing my hair! when i went to the doc, my BP was 98/64. i couldnt believe it. while it is no excuse, it does explain some of my recent online crankiness, at least to me. apologies all around. ill be lurking. thanks for all the support and many kind words. im back to 163.1 this a.m. and you can bet im following the protocol to the letter. no more rogue for me! i want P2 OVERWITH! R1P2VLCD44...still only 21.1 lbs lost, but thats almost .5 a day, which I hear is the average for women....trying to keep my spirits up, with 20 pounds left to go... Apr 09

I changed scales in the middle of P2 and I am glad I did. It gives much more accurate data and forced me to take my scale off the carpet.

seems like if you are taking your HCG drops that you would be losing abnormal fat first. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

You know.... that corned beef would have a tremendous amount of salt in it. I wonder if this is just water retention from that. I do agree that the whey protein may be a problem, but I wouldn't be surprised if you just need another day to lose the affect from the salt.

Hang in there! you'll lose the extra.
